Dorothy - Hill Farmstead - Greensboro Bend, VT
750ml capped bottle
What can really be said about Hill Farmstead that hasn't already been said? So I'll keep this short, to about a paragraph to be precise. I'm on a journey with this beer, most 750mls I choose to share with compadres but not this one. I will be selfish with you, Dorothy. Categorized as a Dry Hopped Farmstead Pale Ale, this beer stays true to it's pale ale roots with a loving dose of wild yeast, revealing funky, earthy, grassy, barnyard flavors. The mouthfeel is full and dry as the American and New Zealand blend of hops hits the front of your palate. Citrus and fruit are pulled out in the mid-palate while leaving no trace behind. Named after the woman who inhabited the Hill Farmstead with her 13 siblings, Dorothy is delightful, forthcoming, and steadfast. Maybe the same could be said for this beer's namesake.
